I've only interviewed him twice -- for The Basketball Diaries and Titanic -- so I don't really know how guarded he might be now. But I suspect he has had to throw up some defenses over the years.
I've been off the junket circuit for a while -- and we haven't connected at any film festivals I've attended in recent years. Maybe if he makes another Western, I'll get to profile him for Cowboys & Indians?
